Grades 5-6 and grades 7-8

This year-round, co-ed program is specifically designed for Middle School Athletes looking to improve athletic performance and confidence.

These ages are critical periods in a young athlete's life to develop sound skills that are so important in preventing injury and maximizing athletic potential. This program is strategically planned based on the age of the athletes.

Certain skills are best developed during these ages and it is critical to introduce and improve skills to take advantage of these Sensitive Periods.

Here is what you're getting:

  • Speed and Agility Training - Our most requested program by top area athletes. With our type of speed training you will notice a difference in a short period of time…
  • Linemen are faster off the ball - Receivers run better routes - Soccer players get to the ball quicker
  • Baseball/Softball players get down the line faster and cover more defensive ground
  • Basketball players jump higher and are faster on the court
  • Lax players change direction quicker
  • Balance and Coordination - A component of all strength training - Most players are out of balance and IT IS affecting their performance. It’s the difference between making the play and coming up short.
  • Relative Body Strength - The right strength for your own body weight will help you to move with more power and quickness.
  • Eye Hand Coordination - Faster reaction time, faster reflexes --- this transfers into just about every athletic movement in every sport - The training that will have the most immediate game-to-game impact on performance.
  • Nutritional Habits - Decrease body fat to improve relative body strength. Fat weight doesn't produce force… let’s get rid of it. Muscle produces force… let's get you on a program that reduces fat and builds power producing muscle.
  • Never be on the "sideline" - Injury Prevention Training so you never miss a game.
  • Responsibility/Confidence - We create an environment where athletes take responsibility for their training and we have seen confidence soar in our athletes.

"There is no doubt in my mind the GFP strength and conditioning program was a contributing factor in our 2009 group 2 State Championship, our conference championship, #1 team in union county and the #11 team in the state! Vince truly cares about each of the athletes he trains!"

- John Liberato
Head Football Coach - Summit High School
2009 Group 2 State Champions

"I personally take great pride in the fact that one of my former football players, Vincent Gabriele, has opened a sports performance and fitness center in Berkeley Heights. Gabriele Fitness and Performance is a state of the art facility that can cater to the specific needs of all athletes, individual or group. He is nationally known for his own personal training systems. Many of our athletes have been taking advantage of Vincent's attention to detail and will continue to do so."

- Frank Bottone
Head Football Coach, New Providence High School

"My son Carter has been a steady student of yours for almost a whole calendar year to date. Words cannot express what the program has not only done for him physically, but more importantly for his level of confidence and self respect. He has gained 7lbs(mostly muscle weight in his lower torso) which will greatly benefit him for future athletics. His balance and agility have increased 10 fold. Again, most important are the 70lbs he has gained mentally. I wanted to send a personal THANK YOU to yourself, Tom and the rest of the staff. Keep up the good work, and don't change a thing. The program is FANTASTIC!"
